As
for myself, I may have started my study time when I totally have mood on it.
Every person has different attitude and style when they study. From my
observation on my friend from school until going to university, each of them has different style. Some of them can focus when they are in loud places such as
‘Mamak stall’, hearing on music while reading and memorizing and etc. Some of
them must study in a quiet place such as library, just in their hostel and etc.
Well I just told you right? Everyone have their own style when they start their
studying time.
So
the first thing that I get started is get my place clear and neat. I can’t concentrate
when my room and my study table are in messy. So, I will make it neat and just
nice for me to get my mood on studying.
Secondly,
I will plan well on what supposedly task that must I've done it first. Any assignments
that are need to do and submitted early, I will make it first. After that, I
will starts on revising any subject that need to refresh.
Make
a short note for every subject. For me it was like very important! It because I
think I will have a little confident when I have done revising on that
particular subject that I studying. It does not only have confident on it, but
also to get me focus on while reading it. Well, for example biodiversity
subject. That subject that I learned in last semester. Biodiversity subject is
one of the subject that are really need reading, understand and memorizing. Therefore
for each chapter in that subject I will make a short note for me to get focus
and understand. When final examination on that paper are just around corner, I
will revising on my short note and I think it is easier to memorize because I
made my short note by myself. When I make a short note, basically, I will use
many color on it and do some mind mapping. I will create some key word for me
to memorize certain word. That was how I've make a note.
The
place that I prefer when studying to be in quiet places such as library, my own
room, or even at the garden while sitting under the trees with get some fresh
air. But, actually it depends on the subject that I study on that time. If I on
work with mathematical subject, it doesn't matter about the environment. But,
when it comes to memorizing subject, I prefer to quiet place. While making any
notes or assignment, I will listen to any music except for English and Bahasa
song. I really can’t focus while listening on those songs. It is because, when
I listen to Bahasa song for example, I can understand each lyric and I can’t
focus on what I reading. Therefore, I will listen to Korean song, Hindustan
song, Chinese song and etc. It seems weird but that me. Therefore that is how I
start my studying time and how I managed on my studies.
Last week on Monday 15th
September 2014, there were a class with madam Geetha. This subject we have
learned about academic skill. So, on that day we are learning on how to do note
making and note taking. The class were interesting and not board because we had
a group discussion at the end. As the madam Geetha said, to solve any problems
regarding our studies such as when we are reading, memorizing or etc, the
important is to get focus and manage the time wisely. Therefore I want to share
tips on how to get focus while studying. This tips I got from

First of all, to get focused on
your study is to get rid of all distraction. From my opinion, nowadays the
gadget is the one of the commonly things that will distract when we are
studying. It has happen to me as well. Therefore, get thing clear and start
focus on what you want to do.
Secondly, to stay focus you need
to find a place and a right time to study. In that article, it has suggested
that we need to decorate a room perfectly for study. It maybe will motivate you
to stay focus all the time. It also suggested that, you need to find a right
time to study for example study when our mind still fresh such as early in the
morning.
When you’re study, you may listen
to any music or doing something that help you to stay focus. Music can help you
to focus but once you’re start focus, turn off the music because it will
distract you. As for myself, I can stay focus even I still listening to the
music. Well different person different style so find yourself. Maybe you can
take a nap about 5 to 10 minutes before start all over again. It can refresh
your mind and get back your energy.
In that article also state that
you need to break a large task into smaller. It means that doing the work step
by step. It maybe will help you to be more focus on what you need to do and you
can plan well on your task. Lastly, is to practice on rewarding yourself. You can
set a timer when you study. Means like you will study on 30 minutes then reward
yourself about 30 minutes on video games or watching favorite Korean drama. But
as for myself, I don’t think this is work. Because if I rewarding myself, I
will not focused back. Means that, I will stay for more than 30 minutes
watching television. So, you can explore yourself on what you are interesting
